Having just watched one of the most boring matches I have seen, it wasn’t the lack of football that wound me up, but the racist chants by the Spanish supporters every time a black English player touched the ball.
This is the year 2004 and I was disgusted at the behavior of the fans. It wasn’t helped by comments made by the Spanish coach in the run up to the game.
