My company has been up and running for about 4 months officially now, (it was in existence back in March, but not officially registered).
Things have been going well with a constant stream of work which is good news. Some was well paid, with a few smaller jobs to keep me ticking over. The only problem I have now is that I am at a stage where I need to decide whether to go back and work full-time for a company, or continue to work for myself.
I now have two guys working for me on a rather large project from the US and the prospect of several more larger projects in the very near future.
Financially things are ok at the moment. I’m never going to be the next MS with billions of dollars worth of work, but I can earn enough to keep me off the streets. Things could dry up totally in the next few months which is the uncertainty that makes me wonder about going back to work for Mr. Big. But these days there is no job security in most markets so that complicates things.
Ideally I would like to get the company to a stage where it ticks along on its own, and allow me to do more full time contracting, rather than full time work.
This week I really need to concentrate on releasing the first version of "TheBlogDoctor.com" web site. With all the recent publicity about Blogging in general, Photo blogging and VOIP I really need to take advantage of this freebie. Most of the background coding for the database management is complete, but I don’t have much of the web site. design done yet. In fact I have just realized that I don’t even have a logo designed for the site so I suppose I had better go sort that out today.
