Reuters | Latest Financial News / Full News Coverage: “LONDON (Reuters) – Lloyds TSB says it expects to have 2,000 to 2,500 jobs in India by the end of next year, raising its target from 1,500 by end-2004 and underlining the continuing trend for outsourcing labour.”
Yet another company that is taking advantage of cheap labour abroad.
I’m going to have my own little boycott of any company that is doing this from now on.
The only trouble is, I might not be able to clothe, feed, wash, insure, pay myself etc etc etc.
I don’t have a problem with taking jobs elsewhere, but how can you justify paying someone 45,000 UKP a year to do Job X, offshore the company and pay the same person in a different land 5,000 UKP a year.
It is not as if the 5000 is a national average salary in that country for that type of job. They still pay peanuts. And you know what they say about paying people peanuts, you get monkeys..
