As from today, I am officially unemployed!!
For the first time since 1987, I am no longer in full time employment, so there goes 18 years of work, and all for two companies.
Apart from getting CWIC Solutions off the ground, there is not much else I can do at the moment. At least not for the next 4-6 weeks while I wait for my back to heal after operation.
Its not too bad at the moment, I removed the dressing last night that is covering up the stitches. The damn thing was ‘itching’ me to death.
I’ll probably remove the sutures tonight as they have been on for about 10 days now and can really come off. (I just hope I don’t come apart at the seams!).
I have quite a few interviews to set up, and quite a lot of interest from companies quite local. I just don’t want to commit to them before I know I am almost 100% fit. I want a clean break and to start afresh at a new company and not have the hassle of dealing with my back anymore. It has been some 4 years since I injured my back and I hope this time its fixed.
Now I have to decide whether to go join the ranks of the dole queue, which I can’t claim because I am on the ‘sick list’ so I think I have to claim invalidity benefit. I don’t think I can be bothered to go through the hassle of all that. One nightmare after another.
